Right Pay For Your Productive Performance

Are you getting reasonable pay for your performance? There is job satisfaction. You are not getting bored with the work which you have entrusted and ready to do more. You are having cordial relations with your colleagues. Even then there is something which is pinching and bothering you. Are you feeling that you are not getting your due as far as your pay is concerned? Those who worked hard for the sake of company during the days of recession are getting their due now. With a little tact and techniques applied, you will get your due promotion and hike.

Experienced are welcome: Many companies are recruiting again after recovering from recession and inviting experienced professionals. Experienced are invited with good pay and perks. Many companies are reviewing their policies after long ban on pay hikes and promotions. You have to master the art of marketing your skills in the job market in these days of demand for good professionals.

Initiative to impress: You have to take initiative to express and impress your top management. If you are getting your due in the present company, you need not get disappointed. You need not leave the company abruptly. Do not expect more salary at a time, which is not fair on your part.

Performance will speak: You have to maintain a daily diary of your performance wherein you have to write the tasks which you have completed on day to day basis. Write a report about your tasks and responsibilities. Try your best to contribute to the goals of the organization. Talk about the initiatives which you have taken to reduce costs and to implement cost cutting initiatives.

Assess yourself: Companies take decisions about pay hike based on the experienced professionals available in the job market. During the time of annual performance appraisal, you may put your case to the top management. You can also take up the issue when crucial projects are completed in time.

Pay or perks: If the company is not in favor of giving pay hike, you may pursue for perks if any. Try to ask for some reduction in working hours or request for flexible hours. Find out from the HR Department, whether there are any perks for which you are suitable at that time. If there are no opportunities like this, meet the decision makers in the top management and present your case with confidence and positive outlook. Discuss your future prospects in the company, with your boss.
