Physical therapy or physiotherapy are the procedures which help one retain movement and flexibility in his/her limbs. One can also associate him or herself with an orthopedic clinic and be able to work with the patients on their treatment. Apart from that, they can also join philanthropic societies which provide such treatments to the old and the diseased.

Another known fact is that every physical therapist generally has an assistant with them. These assistants are required to get a certification from an accredited assistant physical therapy program to work with them as well.

A typical physical therapy job may include going through the reports of the orthopedic notes, diagnosis of the extent of damage in a particular body area of the patient, determine what exercises are needed in the program and consistently check on the progress of the patient. It is the assistant's duty to conduct the exercises on the patient, perform clerical duties for them and remove any supplementary apparatus that are being used for a particular patient.
